It is the summer of 1970, but any teen summer really. At seventeen, Dave leaves home to wash dishes for room and board at a resort in the Northwoods of Minnesota. Resort life engages him with a cast of quirky, endearing characters. A human cannonball, a talking dog, a summer love, and joint thievery all make for a time rich with adventure, humor, warmth, and friendship. This is a fun lighthearted read.

Path of a Bullet rattled around in Dave's brain for ten years. It originated from the killing of a thirteen-year-old girl doing homework on her porch, the victim of a drive-by shooting in Minneapolis. The escalation of mass shootings in the USA during 2018-2019 motivated Dave to finally put pen to paper.
